December 13, 2025: Saturday Remix
Teachers and Staff: Happy Saturday!
Get Your Students’ Musical Ladder Tests Scheduled
This is something you want to do in their lessons. Open up the Musical Ladder portal, and enter the date for your student’s test, while you talk to them about it. You can show them what you are doing on the big screen (optionally). Remember to make it fun and exciting!
If you are behind on your tests, catch up!

For more information about Musical Ladder, tests, and rewards/levels, there is lots of information in prior issues of the Saturday Remix (see website under Newsletters), and more will come in future issues as we go forward. You can also email Dr. Dennis, the Office, or Mr. Denny with questions and to ask for suggestions and ideas.
Recitals - Student Repertoire - Please Submit
Thank you teachers who have been submitting student repertoire!
If you haven’t already, please send student repertoire for the upcoming Christmas & The Holidays recitals (December 18 and 22). Please send this information for all your students, regardless whether they will actually be performing at one of the recitals.
When you send repertoire information, please spell the titles in their entirety, using Proper Case and any punctuation, and include relevant information that might appear in a program (such as composer, source such as movie, musical, video game, etc.). Please also indicate the instrument. Example: All I Want for Christmas Is You (Drums). If there is a backing track to be used, please send the YouTube link.
Please send repertoire information to office@dennisfrayne.com.
Recitals - Teachers Performing
We love it when teachers perform! Keep your performance chops up by performing in our studio recitals! Let us know if you would like to perform at one or more of our Winter recitals.
Holiday Vacation & Off-Days
Our schools are closed for the holidays from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026. No regular lessons during this period. Lessons are ON starting Saturday, January 3. Note that our second day of winter recitals is on December 22, even though there are no lessons!
Q: Do students have to perform Christmas or holiday songs at the Winter recital?
A: No! Many students will want to perform Christmas and holiday songs, and all students should be encouraged to learn and practice these themed songs, whether they perform that or not, during the holiday season. But students can perform any songs and pieces at recitals. It is quite common for students to perform a set of music that includes some themed songs and some standard repertoire.

Thank you, everyone, for all that you do!
Have a magical Saturday, a musical weekend, and a safe and healthy coming week, and a Happy Holiday Season!
Thank you,
