Teachers and Staff: Happy Saturday!
(Well, this one’s late so Happy Monday!)
Thank you to teachers who keep your students always prepared for recitals! We had two wonderful days of recitals (5 total) this past weekend. It was wonderful to experience piano, violin, cello, guitar, mandolin, flute, and singing.
Remember, your goal for your students is that they are always being prepared for recitals. Each student should have an ongoing repertoire of memorized music that they can play any time, anywhere, for anyone… including at recitals!

If you haven’t watched this video in a while, it might be good for a refresher! Tension-free playing is at the core of our studio philosophy and teaching strategies. This video focused on piano but aspects can be applied to all instruments.

Turning Things Off, AC Settings, and Pianos
Please follow the rules about:
AC - please do not set the thermostat below 73 degrees. If you feel you need it colder than that please contact the office. Please always turn off the AC when you leave the studio.
Please turn things off each time you leave a lesson room or studio, including piano keyboards, HVAC thermostats, lights, restroom lights, and computers.
Please don’t put anything on the pianos except sheet music, books, and stuffed animals. No pencils! (If you put pencils on the piano they will inevitably fall inside and cause problems and expense. We have small tables and desks in every lesson room that you can use instead. Do not allow students to put pencils on the pianos.)
Spring Break Off-period
Our studio spring break off-period runs from Wednesday, April 1 to Thursday, April 9, 2026. No regularly scheduled lessons during this period.

Reminder that all teachers and staff are required to read all emails from the studio and from Dr. Dennis in a timely manner.
